Spryng is a business assessment tool operated by Forge Advisory (ABN to be confirmed), based in Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "Forge" refer to Forge Advisory. "You" refers to anyone who uses the Spryng tool or visits our sites.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Questions, access or correction requests, or complaints about your data can be directed to our Privacy Officer: rohan@forgeadvisory.com.au
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and create a user profile. We may ask for your name and the nature of your business during onboarding.
Assessment responses: Your answers to the Spryng checklist questions, including details about your business operations, marketing, digital presence, and systems.
Business context: If you provide your website address or a Google Business Profile link, we fetch publicly available content from those sources, page text, and (for a Google Business Profile) your business name, address, phone number, rating, and a sample of recent public reviews, to inform the AI-generated analysis. This content may include personal information about third parties (for example, staff named on your site or people who left a public review). We use it only to generate your assessment, we do not store the fetched content after the analysis is produced, and we do not use it for any other purpose. Please do not enter patient, client, or other individuals' personal or health details into your assessment answers.
Usage data: Basic information about how you use the tool: pages visited, features used, session timing. Collected via standard server logs and, where applicable, analytics tools.
Communications: If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence.
We do not use your assessment responses for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of delivering and improving the Spryng service.
Marketing: We may occasionally email you about Forge services we think are relevant. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing rohan@forgeadvisory.com.au. We will tell you the source of your details on request. Opting out of marketing does not affect emails about your account or assessment.
Your assessment data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a personalised business priority plan. This processing happens through a server-side proxy, your data is not exposed to the browser in transit. Anthropic processes data in accordance with their own privacy policy and API data usage terms, and does not use data submitted through the API to train its models. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Your account and assessment data is stored in Supabase, a hosted database platform running on AWS infrastructure. Data at rest is encrypted, and access is governed by row-level security rules that restrict each user to their own records. Content we fetch from your website or Google Business Profile is used only to generate your assessment and is not retained afterwards.
We retain your account and assessment data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. If your account is inactive for an extended period, or if you ask us to delete it, we will delete or de-identify your personal information. Where you request deletion, we will action it within 30 days.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run Spryng, and only for that purpose:
We put appropriate data-handling terms in place with these providers. If we engage a new third-party service that processes personal information, we will update this policy.
Some of our service providers are located outside Australia, which means your personal information may be disclosed to, and stored or processed in, overseas locations. Specifically:
Your account and assessment data is stored with Supabase in an Australian data centre (AWS Sydney region), so your stored records stay onshore. The overseas disclosures above relate to generating your assessment (AI analysis and, if you provide a link, retrieving your public business listing) and to serving our website.
Before disclosing your information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure each provider handles it in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through their data-processing and security commitments. We remain accountable for how these providers handle the personal information we entrust to them.
We use functional cookies and local storage to maintain your session and remember your login state. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and give you the ability to opt out.
Under Australian Privacy Law (Privacy Act 1988) and, where applicable, GDPR, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at rohan@forgeadvisory.com.au. We'll respond within 10 business days.
Spryng is a business tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Spryng assessment tool and related websites operated by Forge Advisory ("Forge", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the tool, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Spryng is a structured business diagnostic tool. It collects information about your business through a guided checklist and uses AI to produce a prioritised improvement plan. The output is a starting point for improvement, it is not a substitute for professional accounting, legal, financial, or specialist advisory services.
Forge Advisory may offer consulting services separately. Spryng output does not constitute a formal engagement with Forge Advisory unless confirmed in writing.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, notify us immediately at rohan@forgeadvisory.com.au.
One account per person or business. You may not share accounts or create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge.
You agree to use Spryng only for its intended purpose, assessing and improving your own business (or a business you are authorised to act for). You must not:
Ours: The Spryng tool, its question framework, assessment structure, UI, and underlying code are owned by or licensed to Forge Advisory. You may not copy, reproduce, or adapt them without our written consent.
Yours: The business information you provide remains yours. By submitting it, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of delivering your assessment results, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your output: The priority plan generated for your business is yours to use for your own business purposes. Attribution to Spryng or Forge Advisory is appreciated but not required.
The assessment output is generated using AI and is based solely on the information you provide. Forge Advisory makes no warranty, express or implied, that the output is complete, accurate, or suitable for any specific purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Forge Advisory is not liable for:
Where liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service.
Spryng uses Anthropic's Claude to generate your priority plan. AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, or inconsistent. You should treat it as a prompt for further thinking, not a final answer. For significant business decisions, consult qualified professionals.
We aim to keep Spryng available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or any features at any time. Where feasible, we'll give you reasonable notice of significant changes.
We may update these terms. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. We'll notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice.
You may stop using Spryng at any time. You can request deletion of your account and data by emailing us.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, engage in behaviour that harms other users or the service, or if we are required to do so by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be contracted out of.
For any questions about these terms, contact us at rohan@forgeadvisory.com.au.
